General Rules:
1.) This is a text-based RPG. You create your character and then, by describing his/her actions in posts, role-play as a soldier on the Eastern Front in the Napoleonic Wars. For some examples, visit The Campaigns and the Archives Board. Most of you here probably know what's going on; if not, PM me or just about anyone else and they'll fill you in.
2.) It is recommended (but not required) that you post in 3rd person past tense!
3.) GOOD SPELLING AND GRAMMAR. "I pulled the trigger." as opposed to "i pult da trigga" would be appreciated.
4.) Good, descriptive posts.
5.) Put your character's name in the proper format. It should be: RANK ABBREVIATION (found in Regimental headquarters), FIRST NAME, LAST NAME. ALL MEMBERS WHO ARE JUST JOINING, YOUR RANK IS AUTOMATICALLY A RECRUIT!
6.) No all-capitol letter threads. Ever.
7.) No AOL or AIM language. EVER.
8.) Posts must be moderately long. Anything shorter than that, DON'T POST IT.
Policies:
KILL-OFF, GOD-MODDING AND RAMBO[/i]
1.) Characters may only be killed-off if they are officers (2nd Lieutenant and above) and have not posted in a battle thread in 6 pages UNLESS the absence is excused in the "Leaves of Absence" thread. If the officer can be trusted, his absence will be excused even if they have not posted due to complications that may arise during their personal lives.
2.) God-modding is not acceptable. Actions, major or minor, written by you that depict another person's character doing something must be changed IMMEDIATELY if the person who owns that character is upset by the actions you have posted.
3.) Rambo-ing, as in killing off friendly NPCs in OUR regiment in ridiculous numbers or charging out into the battlefield with yourself and thousands of pistols and a couple muskets is unacceptable. Please, consider realism, as I have tried to make this forum as realistic as possible under the certain circumstances and limited resources I have.
